I’ve been having some profound conversations with my good friend Suzanne Irizarry de Lopez regarding the situations people face on a daily basis, how their background, upbringing, profession, gender, life stage, etc. influence the way they deal with / react to them, and how this affects the way a marketer reaches out to them.
How multidimensional one human being can be… A given individual is a Hispanic, a Christian, a parent, an artist, a woman; all at the same time.
The very best example I found that showcases the multiple roles one plays and moves in and out of, given certain cues, was from the young artist Maya Escobar.
Her satirical characterizations of the different roles she’s identified in her own life, will give you a thought provoking sneak peak into one person’s multiculturality.
