We tweeted, faizbuk’ed, blogged and for the first time in 20 years, we (Cultural Strategies) launched The Social Revolución, the first official Latino event at SXSW Interactive. Pero mas importantly, we con
nected and shined the light on Latinos using social media to create change in their communities. It’s been a few weeks and we wanted to give you a recap of all of our efforts and say Mil Gracias por el pollo, we mean el apoyo!
Of course, major props to our title sponsor Univision News for collaborating with the Cultural Strategies team on The Social Revolución. Through our collaborative coverage, we were able to develop content and stories during the 2012 SXSWi Conference. Did you catch the Bloguero Hub at our event? Thanks to Hispanicize for sponsoring it and allowing us to tweetiar y blogiar all night long! Las photos were made possible by Applebox Imaging. They made the Step and Repeat aka Wachame station and Photo Booth possible. Check out more photos aqui. Indigo Project Media captured the magic via video – Want to learn more about SR? Check out the video that captured the essence of Oye El Canto below. Mas thank yous to LatinoMetro - Austin’s newest site for all things Latino, Hennessey and Marketwire for supporting the Revolución.
